José Vítor Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sigvard Boström having to interfere. When Armandinho Guimarães fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clube Atlético Luziense's protests and gave Armandinho Guimarães a yellow card for diving instead. After 10 played minutes Clube Atlético Luziense got a freekick which was hit by Armandinho Guimarães. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Diogo Arruda took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Sigvard Boström to make any attempt to save it. Artemio Tohias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zbyszko Kajder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the match, SAWEX FC's goal looked a bit too open when Diogo Arruda came free, but Sigvard Boström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SAWEX FC's Olgierd Haszczak got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sigvard Glad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mihăiţă Pantilimon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sigvard Boström having to interfere. Clube Atlético Luziense's Artemio Tohias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zbyszko Kajder in the 30th minute of play. Artemio Tohias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zbyszko Kajder in the 30th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diogo Arruda in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sigvard Boström saved SAWEX FC from getting behind. 33 minutes into the match, Olaf Hetman notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Clube Atlético Luziense's Artemio Tohias. Artemio Tohias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Clube Atlético Luziense defense, Zbyszko Kajder kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Artemio Tohias. The Clube Atlético Luziense fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Artemio Tohias should have stopped the shot. After having played for 42 minutes, Tobiasz Traczewski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SAWEX FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tobiasz Traczewski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Radomil Barys hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diogo Arruda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Diogo Arruda put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Sigvard Boström. Sigvard Glad scored 3-2 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sigvard Boström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Olaf Hetman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Clube Atlético Luziense's Vicente Recife was substituted for Diogo Arruda. Clube Atlético Luziense's Luiz Guilherme Barreto was substituted for Sigvard Glad. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zbyszko Kajder in the 73rd minute of play forced Clube Atlético Luziense's goalkeeper Artemio Tohias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 79 minutes into the game, Vicente Recife was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clube Atlético Luziense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SAWEX FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Clube Atlético Luziense's Vicente Recife got a free kick in the 79th minute. Sigvard Boström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vicente Recife went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-3 was the resulting score. Albertinho Berger hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Clube Atlético Luziense's Artemio Tohias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Clube Atlético Luziense from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Wasyl Bugno managed to get in a good position for a shot. SAWEX FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wasyl Bugno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artemio Tohias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Clube Atlético Luziense fans cheered their team off the field, for while SAWEX FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
