Chi-Chi Branca scored 2-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nenko Reza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Villaverde Celeste Clube's Nenko Reza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chi-Chi Branca in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Granville's Julio Cruz got a free kick in the 31st minute. Andrea Cellucci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roy Makaay, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Andrea Cellucci stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roy Makaay's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Luís Paulo Carneiro hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute, Dario Cordarell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roy Makaay made a kick off. In the 58th match minute, Granville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Cordarell to maneuver through the defense. Villaverde Celeste Clube's Kıraç Uskan was substituted for Roy Makaay. Granville's Ruben Ioritz was substituted for Serafino Urko. Dario Cordarell hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Granville's zone, Guo Ao stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrea Cellucci came out of the goal and Guo Ao tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Cruz charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Julio Cruz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 66th match minute, Granville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Cordarell to maneuver through the defense. Granville made a substitution. Anselmo Hernando replaced Chi-Chi Branca. Dario Cordarell hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute Guo Ao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrea Cellucci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anselmo Hernando struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Nenko Reza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Granville. Nenko Reza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Hernando in the 73rd minute of play. The corner ended in Guo Ao almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Granville's Andrea Cellucci did a great save. In the 80th minute, Julio Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Villaverde Celeste Clube's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Guo Ao in the 86th minute. After 90 minutes, Kıraç Uskan made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Granville's Andrea Cellucci tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
