Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Åsnes's Tor-Kristian Fosse started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Tor-Kristian Fosse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harald Hopp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan-Kenneth Woll hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. The long shot by Emanuel Herlea in the 4th minute really tested Christer Waaler's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Christer Waaler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Martin Onofre in the 5th minute. Christer Waaler made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Martin Onofre sent off a good shot on target. Christer Waaler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan-Joost Roodenburg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martin Onofre took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christer Waaler. Christer Waaler dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. A collision led to Åsnes getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. John-Einar Bøen hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Åsnes defense, Jan-Joost Roodenburg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christer Waaler. The Åsnes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christer Waaler should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Åsnes's Christer Waaler got control of the ball when Mircea Balint tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gullstad SK's Harald Hopp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tor-Kristian Fosse in the 27th minute of play. Åsnes's Fredrik Hebnes quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Roger Rognerud, made in the 30th minute of the game. Harald Hopp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tor-Kristian Fosse in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute of the match Emanuel Herlea shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christer Waaler showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Christer Waaler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Herlea in the 38th minute of play. When Gullstad SK's Emanuel Herlea, in the 38th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Gullstad SK. Christer Waaler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Onofre, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Harald Hopp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tor-Kristian Fosse in the 42nd minute of play. The supporters of Åsnes booed when Gullstad SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Rognerud didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tor-Kristian Fosse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harald Hopp having to interfere. After 46 played minutes Åsnes got a freekick which was hit by Tor-Kristian Fosse. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emanuel Herlea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Åsnes got a freekick which was hit by Jon Hesjedal. Christer Waaler came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Gullstad SK's Martin Onofre. But to his dismay, Martin Onofre quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Åsnes's Christer Waaler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Joost Roodenburg in the 58th minute of play. Gullstad SK's Harald Hopp proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Gullstad SK from getting a goal against them. After 71 minutes Gullstad SK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Truls Roll who took care of the corner kick. Truls Roll made a great header on Åsnes's corner, it was just that Gullstad SK's Harald Hopp managed to reach the ball for a save. Christer Waaler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Onofre, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 82nd minute Jan-Joost Roodenburg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christer Waaler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Onofre scored 5-0 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christer Waaler, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Herlea in the 86th minute of play forced Åsnes's goalkeeper Christer Waaler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute Martin Onofre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christer Waaler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Jim Kronhage in the 90th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Åsnes's Jon Hesjedal. In the 92nd match minute, Gullstad SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Onofre to maneuver through the defense. Åsnes's Christer Waaler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mircea Balint in the 95th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mircea Balint in the 95th minute of play forced Åsnes's goalkeeper Christer Waaler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kenneth Leidland hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Åsnes players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gullstad SK.
