In the 2nd minute of the match, Camillo Tolin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Anthony Sacchi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, PICCOLE PESTI's Comunardo Cirulli got a free kick in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camillo Tolin in the 4th minute of play forced PICCOLE PESTI's goalkeeper Anthony Sacchi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sancho Vesel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Corna in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Ettore Giusti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. PICCOLE PESTI's Ettore Varglien got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ettore Giusti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Sancho Vesel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, PICCOLE PESTI's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos-Armando Valderrama came free, but Anthony Sacchi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. U21 Italy's Sancho Vesel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Corna in the 21st minute of play. Anthony Sacchi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camillo Tolin in the 25th minute of play. Giampaolo Pazzini's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Anthony Sacchi firmly grabbed it by the left post. Comunardo Cirulli kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, U21 Italy's Donato Berardi broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 32 minutes into the match, U21 Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Ettore Varglien came free, but Sancho Vesel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 37 minutes, Eurico Trigueiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PICCOLE PESTI and the U21 Italy players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 37th match minute, PICCOLE PESTI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eurico Trigueiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute Ettore Varglien shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sancho Vesel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristiano Ramundo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Anthony Sacchi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sancho Vesel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

Ettore Varglien recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sancho Vesel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ettore Varglien in the 55th minute. Donato Berardi charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Donato Berardi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to U21 Italy getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Donato Berardi hit a great ball. Sancho Vesel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ettore Giusti in the 59th minute of the match. Anthony Sacchi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Ramundo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes into the game, PICCOLE PESTI's Ettore Varglien nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sancho Vesel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. PICCOLE PESTI made a substitution. Bianco Spinelli replaced Armando Corna. With an all-out effort, PICCOLE PESTI's Sancho Vesel threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ettore Giusti, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 74th minute Ettore Motta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anthony Sacchi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. PICCOLE PESTI's Anthony Sacchi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camillo Tolin in the 75th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bianco Spinelli got free with Sancho Vesel in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When PICCOLE PESTI's Ettore Varglien in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Sancho Vesel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ettore Varglien in the 85th minute of play. A hard shot 87 in the game by Ettore Giusti from a close distance when the talented Sancho Vesel managed to make a qualified save. U21 Italy's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bianco Spinelli got free with Sancho Vesel in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anthony Sacchi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos-Armando Valderrama in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 94th minute Cristoforo Grandis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anthony Sacchi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anthony Sacchi came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Italy's Camillo Tolin. But to his dismay, Camillo Tolin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The PICCOLE PESTI supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing PICCOLE PESTI would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
