After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Loco Durazno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Golden Lions FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Loco Durazno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franco Moscatelli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Loco Durazno in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Franco Moscatelli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 18th minute Loco Durazno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Moscatelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, Loco Durazno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Loco Durazno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Franco Moscatelli was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. The supporters of Golden Lions FC booed when La Scaloneta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltasar Maurin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute, Loco Durazno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Franco Moscatelli was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gilberto Izel made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Gilberto Izel kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Anders Lundqvist. That made the score 5-1 in the 90 minute of play. If Burç Tokhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. There was no doubt that Golden Lions FC were the better team. Golden Lions FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
