The corner led to FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Iulian Pietreanu getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Vejbystrand's John Glad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gigel Horhoianu in the 7th minute of play. Dilaver Tunçhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonardo Stensson kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th minute of the match, Iulian Pietreanu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but John Glad saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jarl Kalfhage in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gong Jun Feng saved FC UNIREA Alba Iulia from getting behind. Gong Jun Feng breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. John Glad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iulian Pietreanu in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Zenon Galagan got a free kick in the 29th minute. Gong Jun Feng stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jarl Kalfhage's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. A collision led to Vejbystrand getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Anthon Strömbom hit a great ball. Iulian Pietreanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but John Glad made a huge save. Iulian Pietreanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without John Glad having to make a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iulian Pietreanu was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Birger Skarkman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vejbystrand's supporters crossed their fingers, but Birger Skarkman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. John Glad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iulian Pietreanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Birger Skarkman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gong Jun Feng having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Birger Skarkman got free with Gong Jun Feng in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. John Glad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilson Arósio, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. John Glad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iulian Pietreanu in the 65th minute of play. After some careless play in the Vejbystrand defense, Wilson Arósio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of John Glad. The Vejbystrand fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that John Glad should have stopped the shot. In the 73rd minute, Iulian Pietreanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. John Glad was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Gigel Horhoianu scored 5-0 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of John Glad, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. John Glad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iulian Pietreanu in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84thth minute of the game Joachim Anselius who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Gong Jun Feng was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. John Glad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iulian Pietreanu in the 89th minute of the match. After 90 played minutes Vejbystrand got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Stensson. 91 minutes into the game, Iulian Pietreanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. John Glad was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. John Glad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orçun Yalınalp in the 94th minute of the match. Vejbystrand's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
