Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gheorghe Bociort got the match started through his kick off. Alfonso Nastasio made in the 7th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Luca Pancu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gheorghe Bociort in the 13th minute of play forced Carpathians's goalkeeper Matei Răducu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iosif Găman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Matei Răducu made a huge save. After 21 minutes of play, Carpathians's Stefan Dobay made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iacob Povară was left in no man's land by his defense there! 24 minutes into the match, Carpathians's goal looked a bit too open when Iosif Găman came free, but Matei Răducu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matei Răducu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Pancu in the 32nd minute of play. Iacob Povară made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remus Piacente in the 34th minute of play. Iacob Povară stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stefan Dobay's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Iosif Găman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Matei Răducu made a huge save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stefan Dobay stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Ilie Danciu got a free kick in the 50th minute. Matei Răducu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iulian Nicorici in the 57th minute of play. The supporters of F.C CLUJ MEDICINA booed when Carpathians was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mădălin Lipan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luca Pancu took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Matei Răducu. Matei Răducu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Carpathians made a substitution. Pär Öman replaced Laurențiu Iurea. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Silviu Latarețu was substituted for Gheorghe Bociort. Matei Răducu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Pancu, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Matei Răducu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silviu Latarețu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matei Răducu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silviu Latarețu in the 77th minute of the match. Matei Răducu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silviu Latarețu, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Francisc Ciocoiu scored 2-1 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Matei Răducu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Carpathians made a substitution. Cazimir Feteanu replaced Remus Piacente. Carpathians's Ercan Sabahaddin was substituted for Mădălin Lipan. If Iulian Nicorici had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to F.C CLUJ MEDICINA getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Alfonso Nastasio hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The F.C CLUJ MEDICINA fans cheered their team off the field, for while Carpathians had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
