Tormaigh Cassin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcel Kühlert came out and tried to block the shot, but Tormaigh Cassin slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 4th minute. Marcel Kühlert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Policarpio Lama in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute, Dudu Mesquita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13thth minute of the game Tormaigh Cassin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Goiatuba E.C.'s Marcel Kühlert was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Goiatuba E.C. getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Dudu Mesquita hit a great ball. With a little luck, Goiatuba E.C.'s Marcel Kühlert got control of the ball when Policarpio Lama tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcel Kühlert made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Policarpio Lama sent off a good shot on target. After 20 minutes of play, Rayo Bengala's Julen Castellano made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcel Kühlert was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marcel Kühlert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nerio Etxeberria in the 23rd minute. After 24 minutes, Tormaigh Cassin made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Goiatuba E.C.'s Marcel Kühlert tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 28th minute, José Paulo Dracena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute, Tormaigh Cassin made a precise shot to the right of Marcel Kühlert. Goiatuba E.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Goiatuba E.C.'s Marcel Kühlert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julen Castellano in the 35th minute of play. In the 38th minute Julen Castellano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Kühlert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, José Paulo Dracena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Rayo Bengala's Julen Castellano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcel Kühlert. That made the score 5-0 after 40 minutes of play. Marcel Kühlert made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Policarpio Lama sent off a good shot on target. Marcel Kühlert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Policarpio Lama, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Augusto de Brito to make the kick off. Rayo Bengala were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after Goiatuba E.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Teodosio Lorenzo took the corner. Rayo Bengala's Teodosio Lorenzo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marcel Kühlert in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Rayo Bengala's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Teodosio Lorenzo in the 55th minute. Teodosio Lorenzo made a great header on Rayo Bengala's corner, it was just that Goiatuba E.C.'s Marcel Kühlert managed to reach the ball for a save. After 56 minutes, César Leite mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Goiatuba E.C. and the Rayo Bengala players grew even worse after the yellow card. César Leite hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Marcel Kühlert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julen Castellano in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Policarpio Lama left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rayo Bengala fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Marcel Kühlert came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Rayo Bengala's Policarpio Lama. But to his dismay, Policarpio Lama quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Policarpio Lama in the 72nd minute of play forced Goiatuba E.C.'s goalkeeper Marcel Kühlert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Bernard Rienda came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Rayo Bengala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernard Rienda couldn't finish the play. Carlos Fernando Borges hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Rayo Bengala's Macabeo Sampil was substituted for Tormaigh Cassin. The supporters of Rayo Bengala booed when Goiatuba E.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Fernando Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcel Kühlert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodosio Lorenzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Macabeo Sampil had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcel Kühlert. Goiatuba E.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Macabeo Sampil was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, José Paulo Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goiatuba E.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but José Paulo Dracena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artur Boruc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 94th minute, Dudu Mesquita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Rayo Bengala had played much better football throughout.
