The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Mutumba in the 4th minute of play forced BK Gubbhöft's goalkeeper Isaac Jonasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isaac Jonasson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose Indalecio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ove Salkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ove Salkvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Marcus Ekrot made a huge save. Ove Salkvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcus Ekrot read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. At last the ball reached Sten Hydén at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Vykans Vikingar. 1-0. The supporters of BK Gubbhöft booed when Vykans Vikingar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernan Berart didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isaac Jonasson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emmanuel Dennis, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sten Hydén in the 27th minute of play forced Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Marcus Ekrot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Vykans Vikingar were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Martin Mutumba to make the kick off. Isaac Jonasson made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Emmanuel Dennis sent off a good shot on target. Martin Mutumba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Isaac Jonasson made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Ove Salkvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcus Ekrot was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. In the 56th match minute, Vykans Vikingar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tage Glanselius to maneuver through the defense. BK Gubbhöft's Jonas Ahlin got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vykans Vikingar made a substitution. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jose Indalecio got free with Isaac Jonasson in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Martin Mutumba kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Isaac Jonasson. That made the score 1-3 in the 68 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Ahlin in the 70th minute of play forced Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Marcus Ekrot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. BK Gubbhöft's attentive Simone Panetti managed to snatch the ball when Hugo Eden made a throw-in in the 73rd minute of the game. Marcus Ekrot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fidel Veronica, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Marcus Ekrot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fidel Veronica in the 78th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Vykans Vikingar's goal looked a bit too open when Fidel Veronica came free, but Marcus Ekrot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isaac Jonasson acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 86th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Christoffer Johansson. In the 89th minute Lorencio Irarrázaval shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Ekrot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isaac Jonasson made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Börje Stål sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Vykans Vikingar defense, Fidel Veronica kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcus Ekrot. The Vykans Vikingar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcus Ekrot should have stopped the shot. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Vykans Vikingar walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
