The goalkeeper, Jeremy Blomme, was totally fooled by Escuadrón Mercenario's Ramiro Messias, who 16 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Escuadrón Mercenario's Estevon Abancens was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 18th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Jeremy Blomme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Abeijon in the 25th minute of the match. Lionel Beets received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Nando Toscano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Estevon Abancens to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Escuadrón Mercenario defense, Tomas Abello kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nando Toscano. The Escuadrón Mercenario fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nando Toscano should have stopped the shot. Escuadrón Mercenario's Nando Toscano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lionel Beets in the 62nd minute of play. Jeremy Blomme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Abeijon, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Jeremy Blomme dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. 78 minutes into the match, Nacional Potosí's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Abeijon came free, but Jeremy Blomme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Tomas Abello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nando Toscano was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Jeremy Blomme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Estevon Abancens, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. 87 minutes into the match, Nacional Potosí's goal looked a bit too open when Estevon Abancens came free, but Jeremy Blomme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Mario Abad managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nacional Potosí's supporters rose to their feet, but Mario Abad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nando Toscano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nacional Potosí's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
