In the 9th minute of the match, Alp Enginalp got a very nice opportunity to score, but Josh Hart was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. İsmail Doğa made a great header on istanbulls's corner, it was just that Templarios FC's Josh Hart managed to reach the ball for a save. Göksel Canfeda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Modesto Birjaio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ferdi Coşan was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 24 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute there was a penalty for Templarios FC. Amadeo Maore stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Göksel Canfeda. 0-1. After a rather tough play, Templarios FC's Marcos Muc got a free kick in the 27th minute. If Zeng Chong Kang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Templarios FC booed when istanbulls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. İsmail Doğa didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Eleuterio Sandaili fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Templarios FC's protests and gave Eleuterio Sandaili a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of istanbulls booed when Templarios FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eleuterio Sandaili didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute, Aleksander Giec got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Templarios FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Haldun Özol scored to the left of an out of position Josh Hart, making the score, 1-1. With a little luck, Templarios FC's Josh Hart got control of the ball when Alp Enginalp tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 39th minute of the match istanbulls got a corner. Templarios FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. İsmail Doğa ran over to the corner to take the kick. Zeng Chong Kang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Josh Hart tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 48 minutes, Aleksander Giec managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. istanbulls's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aleksander Giec was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Modesto Birjaio made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Alp Enginalp managed to get in a good position for a shot. istanbulls's supporters rose to their feet, but Alp Enginalp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Josh Hart breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 56 minutes, Berkay Şahiner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. istanbulls's supporters crossed their fingers, but Berkay Şahiner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Josh Hart came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by istanbulls's Zeng Chong Kang. But to his dismay, Zeng Chong Kang quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1.
