The corner ended in Jacinto Vela almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but KIRICOCHO FC's Jorge Errando did a great save. Jorge Errando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean Britton in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Jacinto Vela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute, Jean Britton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jorge Errando was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lázaro Galsino got free with Herb Good in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 26th minute, Olaf Wos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, KIRICOCHO FC's Herb Good threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ernesto Theodore, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

KIRICOCHO FC's Jorge Errando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean Britton in the 53rd minute of play. Herb Good made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caner Parshan in the 61st minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Herb Good prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Herb Good showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lázaro Galsino, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. KIRICOCHO FC's Caner Parshan got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle went the supporters of Sport Lisboa e Benfica were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant KIRICOCHO FC side.
