When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valdir Cavalcante made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Grêmio 20 Julho's zone, Emanuel Vanooteghem stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sylwester Zarobski came out of the goal and Emanuel Vanooteghem tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emanuel Vanooteghem took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sylwester Zarobski. Sylwester Zarobski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Vanooteghem got free with Sylwester Zarobski in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 86th minute Valdir Cavalcante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bavo Van Eeckhout saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Grêmio 20 Julho booed when Sinsin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernard Pacolet didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Grêmio 20 Julho's Ma Xi Kang got a free kick in the 95th minute. Sinsin's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
