The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arturo Di Matteo got free with Ingi Castilho in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Calenzano's Felix Ivarsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Símun Niclasen in the 10th minute of play. Ingi Castilho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arturo Di Matteo's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Ásbjørn Jónsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Tinganes Bóltfelag getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Heri í Lon Jacobsen hit a great ball. Ingi Castilho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Di Matteo in the 32nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Calenzano's Achille Sciamanna got a free kick in the 40th minute. Regin Gunnarsson hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Felix Ivarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Poul Enok Kwieciński in the 46th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 53rd minute Arturo Di Matteo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingi Castilho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arturo Di Matteo might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ingi Castilho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arturo Di Matteo ran back to his position shaking his head. Ingi Castilho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Di Matteo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Poul Enok Kwieciński sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Calenzano's Ennio Daniele was substituted for Alessio Santini. Calenzano's Alessandro Giocondo was substituted for Yaniusky Pardo. Ingi Castilho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quinto Ampudia, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Calenzano's Felix Ivarsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Calenzano from getting a goal against them. If Quinto Ampudia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quinto Ampudia in the 80th minute of play forced Tinganes Bóltfelag's goalkeeper Ingi Castilho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jákup Rói Jacobsen kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match.
