In the 7th minute Giuseppe Preca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ter Stegen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 1948 MKS's Ter Stegen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur Kissel in the 9th minute of play. Rigan Frankson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sylwester Domeradzki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. In the 17th minute of the match 1948 MKS got a corner. Wiktoria Zajafka's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ersin Uyguralp ran over to the corner to take the kick. Giuseppe Preca scored 0-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ter Stegen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 34 minutes into the match, Rigan Frankson notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Wiktoria Zajafka's Sylwester Domeradzki. Sylwester Domeradzki was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ter Stegen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giuseppe Preca in the 37th minute of the match. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wiktoria Zajafka's goalkeeper Sylwester Domeradzki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 47th minute, Rigan Frankson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The supporters of 1948 MKS booed when Wiktoria Zajafka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrik Tørnstrøm didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sylwester Domeradzki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rigan Frankson in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giuseppe Preca in the 54th minute of play forced 1948 MKS's goalkeeper Ter Stegen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sylwester Domeradzki came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by 1948 MKS's Rigan Frankson. But to his dismay, Rigan Frankson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Wiktoria Zajafka's Martin Žiška was substituted for Giuseppe Preca. In the 64th minute Rigan Frankson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sylwester Domeradzki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Rigan Frankson managed to get in a good position for a shot. 1948 MKS's supporters rose to their feet, but Rigan Frankson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sylwester Domeradzki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 1948 MKS made a substitution. Torrey Molloy replaced Rigan Frankson. 76 minutes into the match, Torrey Molloy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sylwester Domeradzki. Wiktoria Zajafka's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Torrey Molloy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind 1948 MKS's goalkeeper Ter Stegen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Wiktoria Zajafka's Martin Žiška in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Wiktoria Zajafka's attentive Patrik Tørnstrøm managed to snatch the ball when Kaine Kirby made a throw-in in the 94th minute of the game. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The 1948 MKS fans cheered their team off the field, for while Wiktoria Zajafka had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
