After some careless play in the KFC Hansa defense, Luis Navarro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eicke Genau. The KFC Hansa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eicke Genau should have stopped the shot. Eicke Genau stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luis Navarro's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Pablo Aimar put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Eicke Genau. When Wesley Senk came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the KFC Hansa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wesley Senk couldn't finish the play. Eicke Genau was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eicke Genau came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Legio X Eqvestris's Luis Navarro. But to his dismay, Luis Navarro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. In the 40th minute, Luis Navarro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Legio X Eqvestris fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. After the first half Legio X Eqvestris were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wesley Senk stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eicke Genau was a little too slow when Pablo Aimar got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 0-8. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 0-9 when Luis Navarro sped through KFC Hansa's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eicke Genau. The crowd rose to their feet as Legio X Eqvestris's Pablo Aimar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eicke Genau. That made the score 0-10 after 60 minutes of play. Eicke Genau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pablo Aimar, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Hansa's zone, Luis Navarro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eicke Genau came out of the goal and Luis Navarro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A well placed Pablo Aimar short distance shot in the 65th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. After 70 minutes, Raul Garoa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Legio X Eqvestris and the KFC Hansa players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 70 played minutes Legio X Eqvestris got a freekick which was hit by Raul Garoa. KFC Hansa's José Vítor Pinheiro got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tadeusz Rudy scored 0-13 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eicke Genau, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. KFC Hansa's Eicke Genau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Aimar in the 80th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Legio X Eqvestris's Pablo Aimar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eicke Genau. Eicke Genau yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-15. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Aimar in the 88th minute of play forced KFC Hansa's goalkeeper Eicke Genau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eicke Genau stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pablo Aimar's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Erman Orhon hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Tadeusz Rudy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Eicke Genau made a huge save. When the match was over Legio X Eqvestris could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than KFC Hansa throughout the match.
