Connor Gebert dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Independiente's Ximenes Castilla was substituted for Serafín Berganza. After 72 played minutes FC 08 Brühl got a freekick which was hit by Augusztusz Gellérfi. Albano Bertol hit a great ball. Eduard Ganz might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pepe Santoro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eduard Ganz ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 94th minute, Augusztusz Gellérfi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th minute of the match Albano Bertol shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Connor Gebert showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Independiente fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC 08 Brühl had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
