Fernando Isusko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedicto Naelio in the 23rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Benedicto Naelio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernando Isusko was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Fernando Isusko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benedicto Naelio's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Benedicto Naelio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Fernando Isusko made a huge save. Fernando Isusko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedicto Naelio in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Argentina's goal looked a bit too open when Bonifacio Tartalo came free, but Lev Yashin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute Benedicto Naelio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Isusko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Isusko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gregorio Urtsin in the 40th minute. In the 47th minute Aristides Dabi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lev Yashin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Benedicto Naelio made the kick off in the second half. Benedicto Naelio struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Fernando Isusko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Argentina. Ceferino Heli made in the 55th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Argentina's Fausto Santana. 58 minutes into the match, Argentina's Benedicto Naelio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fernando Isusko narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aristides Dabi came free with the goalkeeper in the 59th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lev Yashin could save by the left post. Benedicto Naelio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fernando Isusko having to make a save. Argentina's Paolo-César Maldini was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fernando Isusko in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 67th minute, Benedicto Naelio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Argentina's Amado Arotza was substituted for Paolo-César Maldini. Reyes F.C.'s Desiderio Mero was substituted for Pablo Enol. Argentina made a substitution. Loco Durazno replaced Armando Felipillo. Fernando Isusko came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Argentina's Amado Arotza. But to his dismay, Amado Arotza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. 76 minutes into the game, Loco Durazno cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Fernando Isusko was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 79th minute there was a penalty for Argentina. Alfonso Guifre stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Fernando Isusko. 5-0. Lev Yashin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Alberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Loco Durazno took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fernando Isusko. Fernando Isusko dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Fernando Isusko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Nevada in the 94th minute of play. If Loco Durazno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
