The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 9 minutes into the match, Reyes F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Bartolo Clementi came free, but Fernando Isusko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. U21 Argentina's Christian Romero was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fernando Isusko in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Christian Romero did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-3 to the left of a surprised Fernando Isusko 40 minutes into the match. Bartolo Clementi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Isusko read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, U21 Argentina's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Alberg came free, but Nemesio Baladi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.
