Tiaguinho Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inácio Freitas in the 3rd minute of play. After 4 minutes Trindade Atlético Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Florin Susara who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Florin Susara almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Trindade Atlético Club's Tiaguinho Correia did a great save. Fulgencio Rius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zézinho Simões having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Curt Montes got free with Tiaguinho Correia in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dagoberto Dracena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Curt Montes got free with Tiaguinho Correia in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 14th minute Dagoberto Dracena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zézinho Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Trindade Atlético Club's Dragoş Vâtcu got a free kick in the 18th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Dagoberto Dracena had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zézinho Simões. MarquinhosEC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dagoberto Dracena was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 29th minute, MarquinhosEC's Curt Montes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 34th minute of the game Mário Fernandes made a throw-in which Vágner Porto played forward. 45 minutes into the game, Mário Fernandes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MarquinhosEC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Trindade Atlético Club the free kick. In the 45th minute, Mário Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In a very dangerous position, a player in MarquinhosEC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 48th minute. Penalty! MarquinhosEC:s Zézinho Simões showed great skill when he stopped Falcão de Barros:s penalty. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Dragoş Vâtcu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trindade Atlético Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Dragoş Vâtcu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zézinho Simões breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 58th minute, Korhan Kutalmış sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and MarquinhosEC's Zézinho Simões didn't even have to move. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barrie Deacon in the 60th minute of play forced Trindade Atlético Club's goalkeeper Tiaguinho Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tiaguinho Correia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Curt Montes's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. In the 67th minute, Florin Susara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mário Fernandes hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Trindade Atlético Club made a substitution. Róbson Couto replaced Dagoberto Dracena. After a rather tough play, MarquinhosEC's Mário Fernandes got a free kick in the 75th minute. Mário Fernandes made in the 77th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Trindade Atlético Club's Fulgencio Rius. Zézinho Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Róbson Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 88 minutes into the match, MarquinhosEC's goal looked a bit too open when Róbson Couto came free, but Zézinho Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Róbson Couto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zézinho Simões, 1-2. In the 95th minute, Róbson Couto made a precise shot to the right of Zézinho Simões. MarquinhosEC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Trindade Atlético Club played a much better game than MarquinhosEC and deserved their victory. The MarquinhosEC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
