TSV Delliehausen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roman Gdaniec was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, Jürgen Behnke notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Girona FC's Lastur Murcia. Lastur Murcia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Girona FC's Ovidio Maldonado managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Frank-Ulrich Trenner in the 17 minute of the game. Lastur Murcia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elvis Töpfer in the 19th minute of the match. After 19 played minutes TSV Delliehausen got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Le Mentec. Roman Gdaniec could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Rafael Heintz made a huge save. Thanks to some nice moves Walme Carballido could shoot a difficult shot in the 26th minute, which Rafael Heintz however easily saved by the left post. In the 28th minute of the match Girona FC got a corner. TSV Delliehausen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Carlomagno Acarreta ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Carlomagno Acarreta almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but TSV Delliehausen's Rafael Heintz did a great save. Roman Gdaniec sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lastur Murcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jürgen Behnke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Girona FC's Lastur Murcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jürgen Behnke in the 45th minute of play. TSV Delliehausen were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Girona FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Stratos Boulgouridis took the corner. After taking down the ball on TSV Delliehausen's corner Stratos Boulgouridis fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lastur Murcia quite easily take care of the ball. After the first half TSV Delliehausen were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When Girona FC's Roman Gdaniec in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye TSV Delliehausen's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfonso De Pedro in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rafael Heintz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 68 minutes into the match, Girona FC's Roman Gdaniec sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rafael Heintz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Girona FC made a substitution. Zygmunt Wielkopolski replaced Joaquim Lustosa. Girona FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Carlomagno Acarreta in the 71st minute. Rafael Heintz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Palau, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 80 minutes into the match, TSV Delliehausen's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso De Pedro came free, but Rafael Heintz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Girona FC's Lastur Murcia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Girona FC from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Elvis Töpfer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lastur Murcia was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, David Palau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Girona FC's supporters rose to their feet, but David Palau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael Heintz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
