Renato Kilpatrick hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. The supporters of Nibiru X booed when SCs StarS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luka Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nibiru X's Darío Friederichs proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Nibiru X from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, SCs StarS's Jordy Dirks got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After 28 played minutes SCs StarS got a freekick which was hit by Jordy Dirks. Jordy Dirks got a throw-in 32 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Luka Ramos. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jordy Dirks got free with Darío Friederichs in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 37th minute, SCs StarS's Jordy Dirks ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Darío Friederichs. Darío Friederichs yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. 44 minutes into the match, Jordy Dirks had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Darío Friederichs. Nibiru X's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jordy Dirks was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

SCs StarS made a substitution. Henk Zijden replaced Edgar Reitsema. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Thiago Gol to make the kick off. Darío Friederichs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jordy Dirks in the 54th minute of play. In the 75th minute Godofredo Bombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petr Čech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Petr Čech made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Isidro De Gavardo sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Isidro De Gavardo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Petr Čech was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. In the 81stth minute of the game Isidro De Gavardo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SCs StarS's Petr Čech was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Darío Friederichs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago Gol in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th match minute, SCs StarS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thiago Gol to maneuver through the defense. SCs StarS's Kelvin Dekkers was substituted for Luka Ramos. Nibiru X's Fabio Caviedes was substituted for Godofredo Bombal. Nibiru X made a substitution. Román Grebe replaced Jose Rojas. Petr Čech made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diego Armando Faine in the 86th minute. Nibiru X's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
