FC BaLiSt's Brun O'Down played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laerte Lucas in the 9th minute of play. After 10 played minutes FC BaLiSt got a freekick which was hit by Mihăiţă Șeicaru. With his leg Ronaldo Medeiros managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when FC BaLiSt's Laureano Cresenciano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Brun O'Down made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laerte Lucas in the 14th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Montevideo's goal looked a bit too open when Laureano Cresenciano came free, but Ronaldo Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ronaldo Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grigore Zberea, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 38th minute, FC BaLiSt's Grigore Zberea ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ronaldo Medeiros. Ronaldo Medeiros yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Caetano Messias was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Caetano Messias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldo Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 5-2 when Olimpiu Mercescu sped through Montevideo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ronaldo Medeiros.
