After 12 minutes Bacardi Black Bats's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Clemente Pires who took care of the corner kick. Antônio Borges took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moisés Queiroga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the match, PIRATAS TFP's goal looked a bit too open when Moisés Queiroga came free, but Antônio Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antônio Borges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moisés Queiroga, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. When Bacardi Black Bats's Moisés Queiroga in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When Hermenegildo Rebelo came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Bacardi Black Bats fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermenegildo Rebelo couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jacinto de Lara was the one to do the kick off. Jacinto de Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Moisés Queiroga got free with Antônio Borges in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bacardi Black Bats's Dimas Gois was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Antônio Borges in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 61st minute of the match Bacardi Black Bats got a corner. PIRATAS TFP's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dimas Gois ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a little luck, PIRATAS TFP's Antônio Borges got control of the ball when Leandro Calçada tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 74th minute Moisés Queiroga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Borges saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelito Silva made in the 75th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by PIRATAS TFP's Tiro Peralta. After a defensive mix-up in PIRATAS TFP's zone, Moisés Queiroga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antônio Borges came out of the goal and Moisés Queiroga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jacinto de Lara might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Artur Brudzisz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jacinto de Lara ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind PIRATAS TFP's goalkeeper Antônio Borges, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Jacinto de Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abílio Severiano in the 89th minute of play forced PIRATAS TFP's goalkeeper Antônio Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, PIRATAS TFP's Antônio Borges got control of the ball when Abílio Severiano tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 94 played minutes PIRATAS TFP got a freekick which was hit by Muhammad Lim. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Bacardi Black Bats players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
