Vlad Miniș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixten Nordström having to interfere. If Inge Nilsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, U21 Sweden's Sixten Nordström got control of the ball when Vedat Arslanoğlu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 10th minute, Kjell-Arne Skytt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 0-1 became the score in the 11th minute when Wiktor Kjellqvist elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Kjell-Arne Skytt made in the 20th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ted Salkvist. When Vlad Miniș fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jofurs Drängar's protests and gave Vlad Miniș a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th match minute, Jofurs Drängar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vlad Miniș to maneuver through the defense. Ola Berg came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Sweden's Pelle Flinck. But to his dismay, Pelle Flinck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karl-Erik Lind during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vlad Miniș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixten Nordström having to interfere. Vedat Arslanoğlu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Sixten Nordström made a huge save. Ola Berg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wiktor Kjellqvist went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 46th minute, Jofurs Drängar's Magnus Glad dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wiktor Kjellqvist was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Björn Ahlberg during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, U21 Sweden's Björn Ahlberg got a free kick in the 51st minute. Sixten Nordström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phan Dung in the 59th minute of play. Ola Berg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pelle Flinck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the match, U21 Sweden's goal looked a bit too open when Phan Dung came free, but Sixten Nordström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. U21 Sweden's Sixten Nordström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phan Dung in the 64th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, U21 Sweden's goal looked a bit too open when Vlad Miniș came free, but Sixten Nordström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wiktor Kjellqvist's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ola Berg firmly grabbed it by the left post. Pelle Flinck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. U21 Sweden's Rickard Lundgren was substituted for Wiktor Kjellqvist. After 85 played minutes U21 Sweden got a freekick which was hit by Rickard Lundgren. Phan Dung might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sixten Nordström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Phan Dung ran back to his position shaking his head. The U21 Sweden players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
