A well-hit corner resulted in Luis Jiménez heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. A collision led to Capo de Provincia getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Juan Riquelme hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the match, ionion's goal looked a bit too open when David Villa came free, but Fabio Abalos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner ended in César Pretot almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ionion's Fabio Abalos did a great save. 42 minutes into the match, ionion's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Jiménez came free, but Fabio Abalos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, David Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fabio Abalos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Jiménez, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After a rather tough play, ionion's Taner Zübeyr got a free kick in the 59th minute. David Villa came free with the goalkeeper in the 60th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fabio Abalos could save by the left post. Grigore Pădure kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Fabio Abalos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejandro Martxelin in the 69th minute of play. Héctor Barra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costică Donose in the 70th minute of play. If Alejandro Martxelin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 73rd minute, Panait Oprea made a precise shot to the right of Héctor Barra. Capo de Provincia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Alejandro Martxelin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabio Abalos having to make a save. In the 77th minute Alejandro Martxelin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Abalos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Héctor Barra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Panait Oprea, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Fabio Abalos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejandro Martxelin in the 84th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Alejandro Martxelin notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of ionion's Fabio Abalos. Fabio Abalos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Salvador López struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Fabio Abalos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Capo de Provincia. 92 minutes into the game, Capo de Provincia's Alejandro Martxelin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabio Abalos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. There was no doubt that ionion were the better team. ionion's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
