The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the match, Monks in Robes's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel-Omar Batista came free, but Kristen Gulskov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kristen Gulskov came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by ★Independiente Ψ★'s Gabriel-Omar Batista. But to his dismay, Gabriel-Omar Batista quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Kristen Gulskov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel-Omar Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gabriel-Omar Batista's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kristen Gulskov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. After 20 minutes Monks in Robes's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adan Aresti who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Adan Aresti almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Monks in Robes's Kristen Gulskov did a great save. Gabriel-Omar Batista's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kristen Gulskov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Monks in Robes's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adan Aresti was slow to take the kick. During this time ★Independiente Ψ★'s players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Monks in Robes's goalie and right to Fang Sheng Qing. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Monks in Robes's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Maximiliano Iigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Ree in the 34th minute of play. Augustin Barth was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 37 minutes into the match. ★Independiente Ψ★'s attentive Adan Aresti managed to snatch the ball when Joachim Mæhle made a throw-in in the 41st minute of the game. Maximiliano Iigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Ree in the 47th minute of play.
Alfonso Musso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute Axel Ree shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximiliano Iigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kristen Gulskov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfonso Musso in the 57th minute. 60 minutes into the game, ★Independiente Ψ★'s Gabriel-Omar Batista nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kristen Gulskov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 63rd minute, Kris Garmer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maximiliano Iigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albinus Alking in the 66th minute of the match. Lázaro Rufo kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Monks in Robes's Fidel Havier got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 74 minutes into the match, Monks in Robes's goalkeeper Kristen Gulskov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gabriel-Omar Batista. Gabriel-Omar Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gabriel-Omar Batista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Kristen Gulskov made a huge save. 78 minutes into the match, Axel Ree had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maximiliano Iigo. ★Independiente Ψ★'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Axel Ree was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. ★Independiente Ψ★'s Cristian Jaunti was substituted for Nicolas Salomon. The supporters of ★Independiente Ψ★ booed when Monks in Robes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fidel Havier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maximiliano Iigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Ree, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 88 played minutes Monks in Robes got a freekick which was hit by Kris Garmer. Monks in Robes's Kristen Gulskov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Monks in Robes from getting a goal against them. ★Independiente Ψ★'s Adan Aresti managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Kris Garmer in the 93 minute of the game. In the 95th minute, Jay-Jay Okocha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched ★Independiente Ψ★ eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
