In the 22nd minute Hector Etxepare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Sampler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Villa La Perla's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ma Chao Yong was slow to take the kick. During this time Olympique Salonais's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Ma Chao Yong got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Franco Sampler quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Zheng Liang Song fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco Sampler having to interfere. Franco Sampler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Song Peng Xi in the 27th minute of the match. If Isaac Eleder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute Song Peng Xi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Sampler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hector Etxepare fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco Sampler having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hector Etxepare to make the kick off. Franco Sampler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zheng Liang Song in the 59th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Villa La Perla's goal looked a bit too open when Song Peng Xi came free, but Franco Sampler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Hector Etxepare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zheng Liang Song's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Franco Sampler read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Olympique Salonais were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after Villa La Perla's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ma Chao Yong took the corner. Zheng Liang Song was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Hector Etxepare could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Franco Sampler made a huge save. Olympique Salonais's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
