In the 23rdth minute of the game Tonico Tinoco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The dogs's Sergio Rochet was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fikri Tekinay got free with Jean-Philippe Al Abdullah in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The dogs's Sergio Rochet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eriberto Miranda in the 36th minute of play. Fikri Tekinay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean-Philippe Al Abdullah having to interfere. Inter Miami CF's Jean-Philippe Al Abdullah played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryan Gray in the 40th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Román Riquelme managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inter Miami CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Román Riquelme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sergio Rochet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
Eriberto Miranda took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sergio Rochet. Sergio Rochet dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Erasmo Lekubegi charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erasmo Lekubegi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 55th match minute, Inter Miami CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo Lekubegi to maneuver through the defense. Inter Miami CF's Javier Fridman was substituted for Eriberto Miranda. The supporters of The dogs booed when Inter Miami CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Lekubegi didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Inter Miami CF's Román Riquelme slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sergio Rochet. That made the score 0-4 after 58 minutes of play. Through an outstanding action, after 79 minutes, Sergio Rochet successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.
