Yalapa's Basri İhtiyar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Yalapa from getting a goal against them. 12 minutes into the match, Fermin Dolfo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luiz Fernando Branco. SuperChango's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fermin Dolfo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Fermin Dolfo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 15 minutes into the match, SuperChango's goal looked a bit too open when Fermin Dolfo came free, but Luiz Fernando Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Ambrosio Txurio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Basri İhtiyar. The goal made the score 1-1. 31 minutes into the game, SuperChango's Ambrosio Txurio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Basri İhtiyar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. When Amedeo Biscotti came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Yalapa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amedeo Biscotti couldn't finish the play. Basri İhtiyar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ambrosio Txurio in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute Fermin Dolfo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fernando Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ambrosio Txurio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The wind increased when Ambrosio Txurio made the kick off in the second half. Faustino Dimo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Luiz Fernando Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yalapa made a substitution. Atilano Dino replaced Amedeo Biscotti. Yalapa's Cristobal Isusko was substituted for Faustino Dimo. Luca Puch made in the 61st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Casimiro Ieltxu immediately put the ball in play. In the 63rd minute, Yalapa's Fermin Dolfo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Luiz Fernando Branco. Luiz Fernando Branco yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Yalapa made a substitution. Atilla Bumin Hirfanlı replaced Fermin Dolfo. Atilla Bumin Hirfanlı's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luiz Fernando Branco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Ambrosio Txurio struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Basri İhtiyar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SuperChango. After a rather tough play, Yalapa's Atilano Dino got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 96th minute of the match, Atilano Dino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Luiz Fernando Branco saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Neither SuperChango or Yalapa succeeded in finding a winner during the second half. That meant the players faced another 30 minutes of extra-time.

Luiz Fernando Branco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atilla Bumin Hirfanlı in the 102nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ambrosio Txurio in the 103rd minute of play forced Yalapa's goalkeeper Basri İhtiyar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 112th minute, Atilla Bumin Hirfanlı left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Yalapa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3.
