The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Primo Speranza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gugu de Mendonça in the 8th minute of the match. Primo Speranza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogelio Abeita, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 14th minute, Gugu de Mendonça ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Primo Speranza was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Gugu de Mendonça put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Primo Speranza. A collision led to Road To Glory getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Egon Markusson hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Road To Glory's 邵挺思 got a free kick in the 24th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Road To Glory's goalkeeper Ariel Venerando had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Timoteo Columbo. A collision led to Road To Glory getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Leonardo Gaspard hit a great ball. Leonardo Gaspard hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute of the match Road To Glory got a corner. Academia 1903's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gugu de Mendonça ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Gugu de Mendonça got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Primo Speranza quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 42 played minutes Road To Glory got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Gaspard. After recieving a nice pass, Academia 1903's Harald Ek tried to score from far away in the 42nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Primo Speranza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogelio Abeita, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Timoteo Columbo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Academia 1903's Primo Speranza got control of the ball when Gugu de Mendonça tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ariel Venerando didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Timoteo Columbo went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Academia 1903 made a substitution. Leon Matthäus replaced Timoteo Columbo. 70 minutes into the match, Academia 1903's Leon Matthäus sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ariel Venerando narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Primo Speranza was a little too slow when Gugu de Mendonça got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 1-3. In the 74th minute, Lucio Abajas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute, Leon Matthäus ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ariel Venerando was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. After a rather tough play, Road To Glory's Lucio Abajas got a free kick in the 81st minute. Academia 1903's Leon Matthäus got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Primo Speranza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gugu de Mendonça's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Matthäus in the 86th minute of play forced Road To Glory's goalkeeper Ariel Venerando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ariel Venerando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leon Matthäus, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After 94 minutes of play, Academia 1903's Leon Matthäus made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ariel Venerando was left in no man's land by his defense there! Both players had fought hard during the second half to keep the score at 3-3. The tie meant more entertainment for the crowd as the match moved into extra-time.

All the players looked a little tired when it was time for the first half of the overtime. It was Road To Glory's Gugu de Mendonça that got to make the kick off. Lucio Abajas hit a great freekick 108 minutes into the match. In the 110th minute of the game Gregorio Guillelmo made a throw-in which Ibo Cimillo played forward. With the score at 3-3, the referee blew for the end of the half. The players got a few minutes to recover before they had to start the second half of extra-time.

The players still looked rather fresh even though it was time for second half of the overtime. Leon Matthäus did a quick kick off. Leon Matthäus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ariel Venerando read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 123rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gugu de Mendonça in the 125th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Primo Speranza prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

In the 134th minute there was a penalty for Academia 1903. Leon Matthäus stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ariel Venerando. 4-3. The referee gave Road To Glory a penalty, 135 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Egon Markusson, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Academia 1903's Primo Speranza. 4-4. In the 138th minute there was a penalty for Road To Glory. Lucio Abajas stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Primo Speranza. 5-5. Jakub Fedor's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Ariel Venerando on his right side and into the goal. 139 minutes into the game it was 6-5. Road To Glory:s Ariel Venerando showed great skill when he stopped Marco Rincón:s penalty. The referee gave Academia 1903 a penalty, 144 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Carlos Figueroa, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Road To Glory's Ariel Venerando. 7-6. In the 147th minute there was a penalty for Academia 1903. Benjamin Myhr stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ariel Venerando. 8-7. Academia 1903:s Ariel Venerando showed great skill when he stopped Ariel Venerando:s penalty. The audience cheered when Ariel Venerando's long shot passed Primo Speranza's right side. It was 8-8, 148 minutes into the match. Academia 1903's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
