Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joe Herring started the match with the kick off. Guillermo Farré made in the 2nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Lance Fairfax immediately put the ball in play. 3 minutes into the match, Caarapo SS's goal looked a bit too open when Joe Herring came free, but Sidnei de Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valencia C.F.'s Joe Herring got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 8th match minute, Caarapo SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Gaúcho to maneuver through the defense. Joe Herring fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidnei de Souza having to interfere. Joe Herring scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sidnei de Souza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 29th minute of the match Caarapo SS got a corner. Valencia C.F.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jonathan Mendes ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 35thth minute of the game Joe Herring who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caarapo SS's Sidnei de Souza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sebastião de Lima could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Jerry Lodge made a huge save. In the 39th match minute, Valencia C.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Harding to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Caarapo SS's Jonathan Mendes tried to score from far away in the 40th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joe Herring in the 42nd minute of play forced Caarapo SS's goalkeeper Sidnei de Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Valencia C.F.'s Adam Harding got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Joe Herring might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sidnei de Souza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joe Herring ran back to his position shaking his head. Sidnei de Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joe Herring, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sebastião de Lima stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Mathias Gaúcho fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caarapo SS's protests and gave Mathias Gaúcho a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Caarapo SS getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Mathias Gaúcho hit a great ball. A sloppy throw-in by Mathias Gaúcho in the 54th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Valencia C.F.'s Oliver Bean. The crowd rose to their feet as Joe Herring kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sidnei de Souza. That made the score 0-3 in the 55 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joe Herring in the 58th minute of play forced Caarapo SS's goalkeeper Sidnei de Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the game, one of Caarapo SS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Sidnei de Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joe Herring, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute Sebastião de Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerry Lodge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Joe Herring ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sidnei de Souza was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. In the 75th minute, Joe Herring made a precise shot to the right of Sidnei de Souza. Caarapo SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. After 78 minutes of play, Valencia C.F.'s Joe Herring made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sidnei de Souza was left in no man's land by his defense there! Adam Harding sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joe Herring blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sidnei de Souza having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joe Herring got free with Sidnei de Souza in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Caarapo SS supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Valencia C.F.'s performance. The match ended with a win for Valencia C.F..
