The crowd rose to their feet as Atlético Bucaramanga's Xacintu Ribeiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tanek Ostrowski. That made the score 1-0 after 22 minutes of play. Patrik Øskan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Czeslaw Domeracki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patrik Øskan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Czeslaw Domeracki in the 27th minute of the match. Xacintu Ribeiro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tanek Ostrowski firmly grabbed it by the left post. Xacintu Ribeiro came free with the goalkeeper in the 29th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tanek Ostrowski could save by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xacintu Ribeiro got free with Tanek Ostrowski in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Czeslaw Domeracki came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Olympique Gdynia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Czeslaw Domeracki couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Olympique Gdynia's Kryspin Siedlecki got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Xacintu Ribeiro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Xacintu Ribeiro was the one to do the kick off. With his leg Patrik Øskan managed to avoid a goal in the 51stth minute, when Olympique Gdynia's Stanislaw Walczak fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 60th minute, Xacintu Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atlético Bucaramanga made a substitution. Hardi Kalev replaced Sotero Abrea. Stanislaw Walczak took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Patrik Øskan. Patrik Øskan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Czeslaw Domeracki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the match, Olympique Gdynia's goal looked a bit too open when Hernando Harroyo came free, but Tanek Ostrowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Olympique Gdynia defense, Hernando Harroyo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tanek Ostrowski. The Olympique Gdynia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tanek Ostrowski should have stopped the shot. Patrik Øskan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Czeslaw Domeracki, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Olympique Gdynia played a much better game than Atlético Bucaramanga and deserved their victory. The Atlético Bucaramanga players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
