An unexpectedly hard shot by Kajetan Wisniewski in the 29th minute of play forced Poland's goalkeeper Artur Boruc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilbert Winnicki was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Herbert Grom showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 30 minute of play. Poland's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
