In the 17th minute, Inácio Freitas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kristopher Johnson. The goal made the score 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in MarquinhosEC's zone, Ilídio Abrantes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zézinho Simões came out of the goal and Ilídio Abrantes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zézinho Simões stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miroslav Klose's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Zézinho Simões didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miroslav Klose went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 46th minute, Miroslav Klose left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vágner Porto was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s Boniel Sovera got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Kristopher Johnson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florin Susara in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Gabriel Martini left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MarquinhosEC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. A collision led to MarquinhosEC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. With a left leg Zézinho Simões saved MarquinhosEC from getting behind. 76 minutes into the match, MarquinhosEC's goal looked a bit too open when Miroslav Klose came free, but Zézinho Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Mário Fernandes in the 78th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s Fabiano Medeiros. Zézinho Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miroslav Klose in the 79th minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Florin Susara came free, but Kristopher Johnson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kristopher Johnson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barrie Deacon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. MarquinhosEC's Barrie Deacon managed to work through QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Barrie Deacon dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Zézinho Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miroslav Klose in the 88th minute of the match. Kristopher Johnson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gabriel Martini went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miroslav Klose in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zézinho Simões prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kristopher Johnson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florin Susara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. MarquinhosEC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
