Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Frederik Wenning, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 姚升松 in the 6th minute of play. If Qi Xun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 姚升松, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the match, Salzburg's goal looked a bit too open when Qi Xun came free, but Christian Klimbacher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Qi Xun in the 16th minute of play forced Salzburg's goalkeeper Christian Klimbacher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christian Klimbacher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Qi Xun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute 姚升松 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Salzburg's goal looked a bit too open when Qi Xun came free, but Christian Klimbacher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan-Frederik Wenning recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Qi Xun who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Christian Klimbacher when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 41 minutes Salzburg's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mihai Şelaru who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Qi Xun almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Salzburg's Christian Klimbacher did a great save. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Qi Xun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xeneizes's supporters rose to their feet, but Qi Xun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Klimbacher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Xeneizes were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Salzburg's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mihai Şelaru took the corner. After taking down the ball on Xeneizes's corner Mihai Şelaru fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Christian Klimbacher quite easily take care of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arnold Holzapfel made a kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Salzburg's goalkeeper Christian Klimbacher, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Xeneizes's Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo got control of the ball when Arnold Holzapfel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Qi Xun took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christian Klimbacher. Christian Klimbacher dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After some careless play in the Salzburg defense, Qi Xun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christian Klimbacher. The Salzburg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christian Klimbacher should have stopped the shot. Aaron Tiso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Christian Klimbacher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christian Klimbacher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Qi Xun, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Xeneizes's Fulgencio Peru was substituted for Qi Xun. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Salzburg's goalkeeper Christian Klimbacher, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aaron Tiso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Stanislaw Merski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salzburg's supporters rose to their feet, but Stanislaw Merski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 93rd minute Xeneizes were awarded a corner. Mihai Şelaru went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Silverio Flor heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Xeneizes fans cheered their team off the field, for while Salzburg had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
