Matias Jon scored 2-0 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ernesto Eliazar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Miraflores FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Matias Jon scored to the left of an out of position Ernesto Eliazar, making the score, 3-0. With a little luck, Miraflores FC's Ernesto Eliazar got control of the ball when Matias Jon tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 27th match minute, Miraflores FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Modesto Crispo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Jon in the 31st minute of play forced Miraflores FC's goalkeeper Ernesto Eliazar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Amancio Azeari notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of NeW York CitY CopS's Teet Rosin. Matias Jon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ernesto Eliazar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Ernesto Eliazar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matias Jon in the 43rd minute. The supporters of NeW York CitY CopS booed when Miraflores FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Modesto Crispo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Delfino in the 48th minute of play forced NeW York CitY CopS's goalkeeper Teet Rosin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

NeW York CitY CopS's Feng Ke Yue was substituted for Rolando Quin. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. The Miraflores FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ernesto Eliazar should have stopped the shot. In the 91st minute, Eduardo Barrionuevo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ernesto Eliazar was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-1.
