Anton Björnberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 17 minutes into the match, Inter de Chillán's goalkeeper Anton Björnberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gavril Anghelescu. The nice shot from Mario Jakobe in the 22ndth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Anton Björnberg had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. With a little luck, Inter de Chillán's Anton Björnberg got control of the ball when Mario Jakobe tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 28 played minutes Viola Invest got a freekick which was hit by Jakub Jazowski. After some careless play in the Inter de Chillán defense, Stig-Åke Gabrielsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anton Björnberg. The Inter de Chillán fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anton Björnberg should have stopped the shot. In the 33rd minute, Mario Jakobe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anton Björnberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. In the 35th minute, Grzegorz Bierfass hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anton Björnberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kuuno Tälli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jakub Jazowski got free with Anton Björnberg in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Samuel Abel kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Anton Björnberg made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Stig-Åke Gabrielsson sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Viola Invest booed when Inter de Chillán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chen Feng Jian didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kuuno Tälli made a kick off. Anton Björnberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig-Åke Gabrielsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 51st minute Stig-Åke Gabrielsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Björnberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Viola Invest's Stig-Åke Gabrielsson in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Samuel Abel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Dumitru Doloman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Inter de Chillán's Eladio Araujo was substituted for Grzegorz Bierfass. Inter de Chillán made a substitution. Rickard Erserman replaced Samuel Abel. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Mario Jakobe sped through Inter de Chillán's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anton Björnberg. The crowd rose to their feet as Alfonso Sotta kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dumitru Doloman. That made the score 4-2 in the 78 minute of play. In the 87th minute Stig-Åke Gabrielsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Björnberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Viola Invest's Stig-Åke Gabrielsson in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Inter de Chillán's Eladio Araujo in the 96th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Dumitru Doloman was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Viola Invest through an amazing save. Inter de Chillán's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
