Marco Testaferrata Viani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Pirani in the 14th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Petter Dahlqvist came free, but Nelsinho Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aírton Sousa got free with Marco Testaferrata Viani in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aírton Sousa went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Aírton Sousa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marco Testaferrata Viani quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Arda Barbaros came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the SOAD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arda Barbaros couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aírton Sousa in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Testaferrata Viani prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vascogoianiense FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Aírton Sousa in the 41st minute. Marco Testaferrata Viani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Tepedino in the 43rd minute of play. The supporters of Vascogoianiense FC booed when SOAD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agne Lundkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. SOAD made a substitution. Jiří Svárovský replaced Miloslav Klas. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alexandre Tepedino made a kick off. SOAD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vascogoianiense FC the free kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the SOAD players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Vascogoianiense FC.
