Jörgen Frohm kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. 5 minutes into the match, Heide FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tio Lio came free, but Iwan Dziuma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeremy Nicholas was a little too slow when Lázaro Prestes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 8th minute. The score was now 1-0. 12 minutes into the game, New England Minas's Tio Lio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iwan Dziuma made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgardo Silva in the 18th minute of play forced Heide FC's goalkeeper Iwan Dziuma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute, Edgardo Silva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The New England Minas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Jeremy Nicholas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Berenguer in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Nordmark in the 29th minute of play forced Heide FC's goalkeeper Iwan Dziuma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Lázaro Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 31st minute of the match, Lázaro Prestes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jeremy Nicholas was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. New England Minas's Jeremy Nicholas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save New England Minas from getting a goal against them. If Julian Bejrut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeremy Nicholas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lázaro Prestes in the 39th minute. In the 42nd minute Tony Pacheco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iwan Dziuma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iwan Dziuma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tony Pacheco in the 43rd minute of the match. After 44 played minutes Heide FC got a freekick which was hit by Moises Berenguer. After the first half New England Minas were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Jeremy Nicholas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Witold Hodyl, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Lázaro Prestes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Iwan Dziuma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tony Pacheco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. New England Minas's Arturo Sito was substituted for Edgardo Silva. New England Minas's Emmitt Benson was substituted for Jörgen Frohm. A collision led to New England Minas getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Oscar Nordmark hit a great ball. Iwan Dziuma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Sito, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Fernando Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After 64 played minutes Heide FC got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Montes. A hard shot by Ye Gang Cheng from long distance, 65 minutes into the match, got Iwan Dziuma's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When New England Minas's Tony Pacheco in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Heide FC's goalie prevented a goal. 68 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Lázaro Prestes came free, but Jeremy Nicholas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oscar Nordmark could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Iwan Dziuma made a huge save. A well-hit corner resulted in Fernando Montes heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 84 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Witold Hodyl came free, but Jeremy Nicholas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. New England Minas's Jeremy Nicholas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lázaro Prestes in the 85th minute of play. Iwan Dziuma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Nordmark in the 87th minute of play. A collision led to New England Minas getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Ye Gang Cheng hit a great ball. Iwan Dziuma made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Oscar Nordmark sent off a good shot on target.
