An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasile Mumuleanu in the 6th minute of play forced FC Blue Twister Liberec's goalkeeper Jiří Hasman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Iustin Coporan fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Champions Iasi's protests and gave Iustin Coporan a yellow card for diving instead. After 10 played minutes Champions Iasi got a freekick which was hit by Iustin Coporan. 18 minutes into the match, FC Blue Twister Liberec's goal looked a bit too open when Vasile Mumuleanu came free, but Jiří Hasman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ferdinand Joldea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ali Emir Devan, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 21 minutes into the match, Ali Emir Devan notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Champions Iasi's Ferdinand Joldea. Ferdinand Joldea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 26th minute Iustin Coporan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jiří Hasman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Blue Twister Liberec's Cleto Matxin got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ferdinand Joldea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Froilan Ciano in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Froilan Ciano in the 38th minute of play forced Champions Iasi's goalkeeper Ferdinand Joldea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jiří Hasman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Róbert Pál-Szabó in the 41st minute of the match. After 47 played minutes Champions Iasi got a freekick which was hit by Cosmin Iureș. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Froilan Ciano made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Cleto Matxin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinand Joldea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferdinand Joldea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Froilan Ciano, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After some careless play in the Champions Iasi defense, Froilan Ciano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ferdinand Joldea. The Champions Iasi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ferdinand Joldea should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, FC Blue Twister Liberec's Jiří Hasman got control of the ball when Róbert Pál-Szabó tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ferdinand Joldea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cleto Matxin, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 78th minute, Vasile Mumuleanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Champions Iasi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Cleto Matxin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ferdinand Joldea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
