Ferdinando Trabucco hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Domingo Perón received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Corrado Spitaleri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bento Chandeiro in the 14th minute of play forced Borgo Doria F.C.'s goalkeeper Corrado Spitaleri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aioros FC were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Borgo Doria F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Domingo Perón took the corner. When Basri Özyurt fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Borgo Doria F.C.'s protests and gave Basri Özyurt a yellow card for diving instead. After 24 played minutes Borgo Doria F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Basri Özyurt. 31 minutes into the match, Aioros FC's Bento Chandeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Corrado Spitaleri narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alberto Scutti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beat Vid having to interfere. Edmondo Melone made in the 35th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Alberto Scutti immediately put the ball in play. After 41 played minutes Aioros FC got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Agerbo. If Ercole Mian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Bento Chandeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Bento Chandeiro made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Aioros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ercole Mian came free, but Beat Vid reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Corrado Spitaleri was a little too slow when Bento Chandeiro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 0-1. Beat Vid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ercole Mian in the 64th minute of play. Lars Hellström kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Aioros FC's Bento Chandeiro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Corrado Spitaleri. Corrado Spitaleri yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Corrado Spitaleri made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Bento Chandeiro sent off a good shot on target. 94 minutes into the game, Borgo Doria F.C.'s Ercole Mian nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Beat Vid made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
