If Libardo Gutierrez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Güntekin Uskan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Richard Zelaya read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. In the 28th minute Juan Pacheco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimond Aumann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by The Last Airbender's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Carlos Lima was slow to take the kick. During this time Hayling Island AFC's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Alonso Ulloa heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After some careless play in the Hayling Island AFC defense, Cemal Özgun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Richard Zelaya. The Hayling Island AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Richard Zelaya should have stopped the shot. Raimond Aumann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Libardo Gutierrez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Güntekin Uskan got his second yellow card in the match during the 38th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 39th match minute, The Last Airbender was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Güntekin Uskan to maneuver through the defense. After 41 minutes of play, The Last Airbender's Cemal Özgun made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Richard Zelaya was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Ferman Sıraç got free with Richard Zelaya in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After taking down the ball on The Last Airbender's corner Ömür Himmet fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Richard Zelaya quite easily take care of the ball. Raimond Aumann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Libardo Gutierrez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cemal Özgun stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The attack was good, but when Libardo Gutierrez in the 51st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 59 minutes into the match, The Last Airbender's Cemal Özgun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Richard Zelaya narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of The Last Airbender booed when Hayling Island AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulises Padilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hayling Island AFC's goalkeeper Richard Zelaya, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Despite this Richard Zelaya quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 75 minutes into the game, Cemal Özgun cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Richard Zelaya was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hayling Island AFC's Richard Zelaya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikail Savgat in the 81st minute of play.
