Geovani de Salles made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Dumitru Velicu sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Dumitru Velicu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geovani de Salles was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. A collision led to Ríver Late getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Dolfo Clemente hit a great ball. After 18 minutes Ríver Late's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emanuel Gliga who took care of the corner kick. Dumitru Velicu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Baran Sarka hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the match, Ríver Late's goalkeeper Geovani de Salles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dumitru Velicu. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Dumitru Velicu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Velester Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Dumitru Velicu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geovani de Salles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 28 minutes of play, Ríver Late's Leopoldo Jacinto Luque made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ferdinando Scarinci was left in no man's land by his defense there! 35 minutes into the match, Velester Football Club's Dumitru Velicu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Geovani de Salles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Geovani de Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dumitru Velicu in the 42nd minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Arkadiusz Piglowski in the 46th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Ríver Late's Lorien Blanco. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dumitru Velicu was the one to do the kick off. Geovani de Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dumitru Velicu in the 50th minute of the match. 52 minutes into the game, Velester Football Club's Dumitru Velicu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geovani de Salles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Geovani de Salles didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dumitru Velicu went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dumitru Velicu in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geovani de Salles saved Ríver Late from getting behind. A collision led to Ríver Late getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Dolfo Clemente hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dimas Barrientos got free with Ferdinando Scarinci in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 95 minutes into the match, Velester Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Baran Sarka came free, but Ferdinando Scarinci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Velester Football Club fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ríver Late had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
