Penuel Football Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Howling Dawn U18 the free kick. Lesardo Masbernat kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. After 11 minutes of play, Penuel Football Club's Fernando Cavenaghi made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leon Roldan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Juan Bittor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Victorio Detres made a huge save. Leon Roldan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Cavenaghi, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Luisito Pero kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Howling Dawn U18's Venancio Dantae got a free kick in the 21st minute. Leopoldo Cero took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leon Roldan. Howling Dawn U18's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 25 minutes of play Penuel Football Club's Lesardo Masbernat was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Penuel Football Club's Lesardo Masbernat got a free kick in the 25th minute. Penuel Football Club's Danel Ayllon was substituted for Ramos Cuyar. The supporters of Howling Dawn U18 booed when Penuel Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lesardo Masbernat didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute Juan José López shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Roldan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Bittor who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Victorio Detres when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 36th match minute, Howling Dawn U18 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Venancio Dantae to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute, Howling Dawn U18's Baltasar Walme ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Victorio Detres. Victorio Detres yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Leon Roldan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matías Almeyda in the 42nd minute of the match. Leon Roldan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Cavenaghi in the 44th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fernando Cavenaghi was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Howling Dawn U18's goal looked a bit too open when Juan José López came free, but Leon Roldan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 54 played minutes Penuel Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Christiano Fortuño. Leon Roldan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Cavenaghi, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Baltasar Walme might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victorio Detres. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baltasar Walme ran back to his position shaking his head. Victorio Detres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Cordeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victorio Detres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Cordeiro in the 66th minute of play. A collision led to Penuel Football Club getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Matías Almeyda hit a great ball. Penuel Football Club's Ambrosio Descarrega was substituted for Esquipula Saco. In the 68th match minute, Penuel Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matías Almeyda to maneuver through the defense. Victorio Detres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Bittor in the 70th minute of play. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Victorio Detres showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 93 minutes, Arturo Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Howling Dawn U18's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arturo Cordeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Both players had fought hard during the second half to keep the score at 1-1. The tie meant more entertainment for the crowd as the match moved into extra-time.

With a little luck, Penuel Football Club's Victorio Detres got control of the ball when Juan Bittor tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Atilano Herensuge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 101st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 103rd match minute, Howling Dawn U18 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Astor Manilan to maneuver through the defense. Leon Roldan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Cavenaghi in the 104th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juan Bittor got free with Victorio Detres in the 106th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Penuel Football Club's Victorio Detres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Bittor in the 108th minute of play. In the 113th minute, Matías Almeyda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 113 played minutes, Howling Dawn U18's Erasmo Oskarbi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Victorio Detres came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Howling Dawn U18 reached it. In the 114th match minute, Penuel Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matías Almeyda to maneuver through the defense.

When it was time for second half in the overtime, the players were a bit slow, but they soon became more alert when it was time for Fernando Cavenaghi to make the kick off. 118 minutes in the game, Juan José López fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Leon Roldan having to interfere. When Howling Dawn U18's Arturo Cordeiro in the 120th minute got a chance for a shot 120th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Penuel Football Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victorio Detres should have stopped the shot.
