Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Leonard Aanuţei started the match with the kick off. Cezar Cernescu hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. 6 minutes into the match, Leonard Aanuţei notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Steaua Bucuresti's Matei Trişcu. Matei Trişcu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aurel Pandrea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gheorghe Baldovin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Leonard Aanuţei's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matei Trişcu was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Traian Constantinescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, Steaua Bucuresti's Gheorghe Baldovin threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Traian Constantinescu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Steaua Bucuresti's Matei Trişcu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonard Aanuţei in the 17th minute of play. FC Buzău's Gheorghe Baldovin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save FC Buzău from getting a goal against them. Steaua Bucuresti's Matei Trişcu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vintilă Stoicea in the 23rd minute of play. Traian Balaban received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Matei Trişcu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steaua Bucuresti's Matei Trişcu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonard Aanuţei in the 27th minute of play. After 28 minutes Steaua Bucuresti's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emil Strugure who took care of the corner kick. FC Buzău's Gheorghe Baldovin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Buzău from getting a goal against them. In the 37th minute Cezar Cernescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gheorghe Baldovin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute of the match Aurel Pandrea shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gheorghe Baldovin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 43rd minute, Cătălin Arjoca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 48th minute, Cezar Cernescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half FC Buzău were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gheorghe Cunea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Avram Elenescus short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Matei Trişcu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Matei Trişcu made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Avram Elenescu sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Traian Balaban in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Matei Trişcu saved Steaua Bucuresti from getting behind. In the 60thth minute of the game Gheorghe Cunea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Buzău's Gheorghe Baldovin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Cătălin Arjoca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cătălin Arjoca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Matei Trişcu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute Cezar Cernescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gheorghe Baldovin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonard Aanuţei in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matei Trişcu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 69 minutes into the game, one of Steaua Bucuresti:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Matei Trişcu, was totally fooled by FC Buzău's Emil Strugure, who 71 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. With a little luck, Steaua Bucuresti's Matei Trişcu got control of the ball when Avram Elenescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. FC Buzău's Gheorghe Baldovin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gheorghe Cunea in the 76th minute of play. Leonard Aanuţei's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Matei Trişcu firmly grabbed it by the left post. Matei Trişcu made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Leonard Aanuţei sent off a good shot on target. Avram Elenescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matei Trişcu having to interfere. Traian Balaban blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Matei Trişcu having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Leonard Aanuţei kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Matei Trişcu. That made the score 0-4 in the 81 minute of play. Gheorghe Baldovin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gheorghe Cunea in the 86th minute of play. When FC Buzău's Leonard Aanuţei in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Steaua Bucuresti's goalie prevented a goal. After 93 played minutes Steaua Bucuresti got a freekick which was hit by Ionuț Drumeș. In the 97th match minute, FC Buzău was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cătălin Arjoca to maneuver through the defense.
When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC Buzău had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
