The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabrício Lustosa got free with John Osomo in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ademar Rodrigues hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Adérito Abreu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but John Osomo made a huge save. In the 25th match minute, Academia Monte Gordo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabrício Lustosa to maneuver through the defense. Ademar Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Mao Zhen Hong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabrício Lustosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but John Osomo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Örjan Björkdahl in the 41st minute of play forced Academia Monte Gordo's goalkeeper Mao Zhen Hong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute Clarence Seedorf suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. 43 minutes into the game, Luciano Tiso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Örjan Björkdahl could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Mao Zhen Hong made a huge save. The throw-in from Ture Rosendahl in the 82nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Academia Monte Gordo's Luciano Tiso. 84 minutes into the match, Academia Monte Gordo's goalkeeper Mao Zhen Hong had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Örjan Björkdahl. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by Academia Monte Gordo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ture Rosendahl was slow to take the kick. During this time PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Matías Azevedo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mao Zhen Hong quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Matías Azevedo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Zé Ortiz hit a great ball. 91 minutes into the match, Academia Monte Gordo's Christian Westerstrand sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that John Osomo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's goalkeeper John Osomo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Christian Westerstrand might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over John Osomo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Christian Westerstrand ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's goalkeeper John Osomo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
