The throw-in from Kristian Brolin in the 6th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by La Bichineta's Octavio Nueva. In the 8th minute Eero Grönholm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvestre Peli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Godfried Teunens got free with Thomas Sørensen in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 11 minutes into the match, La Bichineta's goal looked a bit too open when Tzvetoslav Serdev came free, but Silvestre Peli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Grivata's Thomas Sørensen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godfried Teunens in the 17th minute of play. Silvestre Peli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yngve Johnstad in the 18th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, La Bichineta's goal looked a bit too open when Sava Chuchev came free, but Silvestre Peli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Godfried Teunens's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thomas Sørensen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Octavio Nueva kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Silvestre Peli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sava Chuchev in the 27th minute of the match. Thomas Sørensen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godfried Teunens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvestre Peli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sava Chuchev, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Thomas Sørensen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Godfried Teunens in the 36th minute. After some careless play in the FC Grivata defense, Godfried Teunens kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thomas Sørensen. The FC Grivata fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thomas Sørensen should have stopped the shot. La Bichineta's Silvestre Peli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yngve Johnstad in the 41st minute of play. Silvestre Peli came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Grivata's Sava Chuchev. But to his dismay, Sava Chuchev quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Godfried Teunens made a kick off. Silvestre Peli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Øyvind Skoglund, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Silvestre Peli had great luck who in the 51stth minute grab hold of the ball when Øyvind Skoglund from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Tzvetoslav Serdev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Silvestre Peli made a huge save. 54 minutes into the match, La Bichineta's goal looked a bit too open when Yngve Johnstad came free, but Silvestre Peli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thomas Sørensen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godfried Teunens, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. When Godfried Teunens came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the La Bichineta fans jumped to their feet. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eliseo Iigo in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thomas Sørensen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 71st minute, Felix Castel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 79 minutes FC Grivata's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Poncio Justo who took care of the corner kick. Eliseo Iigo might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thomas Sørensen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eliseo Iigo ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Iigo in the 84th minute of play forced FC Grivata's goalkeeper Thomas Sørensen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. La Bichineta's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
