Darryl Cummings sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eddie Murphy in the 13th minute of play forced Tynemouth Wanderers's goalkeeper Trey Nevin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 14 played minutes Tynemouth Wanderers got a freekick which was hit by Jonny Haigh. Trey Nevin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Oppenheimer in the 18th minute of the match. Trey Nevin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ferdi Reis's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Gijs Schaap made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Darryl Cummings sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Jasper Llewellyn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tynemouth Wanderers's supporters rose to their feet, but Jasper Llewellyn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gijs Schaap breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Trey Nevin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferdi Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute, Ferdi Reis made a precise shot to the right of Trey Nevin. Tynemouth Wanderers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The Tynemouth Wanderers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Trey Nevin should have stopped the shot. Trey Nevin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eddie Murphy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute Eddie Murphy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trey Nevin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eddie Murphy to make the kick off. Ken Halliday might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gijs Schaap. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ken Halliday ran back to his position shaking his head. Gaz Denham scored 3-2 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gijs Schaap, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ken Halliday in the 60th minute of play forced Springplank FC's goalkeeper Gijs Schaap to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robert Oppenheimer during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 61st minute, Robert Oppenheimer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Darryl Cummings in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gijs Schaap prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gijs Schaap was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eddie Murphy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Trey Nevin made a huge save. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tynemouth Wanderers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Japke Verbeek was slow to take the kick. During this time Springplank FC's players had a chance to rest. John-Paul Amos scored 5-3 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gijs Schaap, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 96th minute, John-Paul Amos made a precise shot to the right of Gijs Schaap. Springplank FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-3. For all the effort they put into the match, the Springplank FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Tynemouth Wanderers.
