Lopez Arrillaga scored 1-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mauricio Erramun, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lopez Arrillaga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mauricio Erramun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. If Lopez Arrillaga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Lopez Arrillaga came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Phoenix Fireball SE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lopez Arrillaga couldn't finish the play. 30 minutes into the game, one of Stat Veritas FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Apolo Modestio hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Mauricio Erramun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lopez Arrillaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute Phoenix Fireball SE were awarded a corner. Félix Dobó went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Félix Dobó got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mauricio Erramun quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Mauricio Erramun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lopez Arrillaga in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lopez Arrillaga in the 41st minute of play forced Stat Veritas FC's goalkeeper Mauricio Erramun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute, Fernando Dantae hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
